Surrender

As humans, we love to be in control.

We like to make sure we hold everything in our own hands.

We can’t lose that, or else we’ll fail.

We’ll disappoint ourselves and everyone around us.

Then something happens and all of a sudden it hits us!

There comes the day when we face the empty facts and there’s nothing we can do about it.

NOTHING…nothing but Surrender.

Surrender it all to the One who can handle it.

The One who can take our burdens and worries,

and make them His own.

You would think that you would start feeling worry, anxiety and stress,

because nothing is in your control anymore.

But instead, you are shocked… You can’t fully understand it.

And yet you can’t overcome this feeling of contentment that overflows.

A peace so overwhelming, that becomes part of your being.

You start to accept it and begin to relax and trust…

You begin to feel safe again.

Your conclusion- When He holds my future in His hands, I can only trust in His perfect timing.

And so I live!
